Concert: Deadmau5 & Friends and ASOT650 Malaysia #FMFA2014 (Kuala Lumpur)

Taken with NIKON D7000 with 70 - 200mm Nikkor Lense

Pharrell Williams, Eric Prydz, Brodinski, Porter Robinson, Knife Party, Baauer and were due to perform on day three of the festival due to last minute cancellation from the organisors after six people died of a drug overdose on the second day of the event (ASOT650MY).

An official statement has been released via the event official Facebook page, "In the interest of public safety, we have heeded the authority’s advice to not proceed with Day-3 of Future Music Festival Asia 2014.

"This is also to help in the on-going investigation. We appreciate the understanding of all parties and will share updates on this matter as soon as possible”.

However I did enjoyed the first and second day of the music festival as a media.

Concert venue was OK since it is near to the city with lot of public transport facilities to choose from. Parking area was ample but with RM20 - RM30 parking fee per entry. Participants were given a cloth bracelet with a RFID feature for entry and F&B payment at the festival area.

Check out some photos from my iPhone5 and D7000 with 70 - 200mm Nikkor lense for Day 1 and Day 2.

Concert Day 1
Deadmau5 & Friends
R3hab, Adventure Club, Will Sparks, B.A.T.E, Eva T, Breaking Diamonds, Double E and Victor Trixter and the notorious Deadmau5.

Concert Day 2
Armin Van Buuren A State of Trance 650: New Horizons
Paul Van Dyk, Markus Schulz, Omnia, Marlo, Andrew Rayel, Trimix, Ramsey Westwood and the man himself Armin Van Buuren

Security was available, however I noticed that this time the security check was not really thorough towards the participants. Basic bag check was made but no body search until pockets, wallet and shoes.

Love the strobe lights and lighting features by the organisor. F&B stalls were available in the area too.

Summary: Great job to the organisors! This was a well-managed event by Future Music Festival Asia and partners. I look forward for more music events from Future Music Festival Asia and Livescape in the near future.

Event Recommendation: ★★ (5/5)
